// What we dig

The dirt work behind every project

Excavation is the dirt work that has to happen before - and often during - a build. We bring the machines and the operators to move earth, dig what needs digging, and shape the ground the way the job needs it.

Homeowners, builders, and developers around Binghamton call us for:

  • ✓  Foundation and footer digs for homes, garages, and additions
  • ✓  Pond digging, cleaning, and reshaping
  • ✓  Drainage, culverts, and water problems
  • ✓  Utility and trench excavation
  • ✓  Digging out and hauling material on site work

Got a dirt problem you're not sure how to describe? Call and walk us through it - we'll tell you what it takes.

// What we do

Heavy equipment, skilled operators

Excavation is only as good as the operator running the machine. Ours have moved dirt on jobs from backyards to major projects.

// The whole job, start to finish

What's included

Depending on the job, an excavation typically covers:

  • Digging foundations, footers, trenches, and ponds
  • Moving, grading, and hauling material on site
  • Drainage and water-management work
  • Backfill and rough grade once the work is in
  • Clean, safe operation around existing utilities

How an excavation job goes

Four steps. We look at the site and the plan before anything moves.

Look at the Site

We walk the ground, review the plan, and check access and utilities.

A clear written number for the scope - by the job or the day.

We Dig

Our operators move the earth and shape the ground the job needs.

Backfill & Grade

We backfill, rough-grade, and leave the site ready for the next step.

// What it costs

What goes into the price

Every dig is different, so we look first, then give you an honest number. A few things move the price:

📏

Volume of dirt

How much material we're moving, and how far. More yards, more time.

🛣

Access & terrain

Tight, steep, or wet sites take longer than open, dry, reachable ground.

Haul vs. reuse

Reusing spoil on site is cheaper than trucking it off - we'll lay out both.

🚦

Utilities & obstacles

Digging around gas, water, and lines is careful work and adds time.

The only way to know for sure is to look. Book a free estimate and we'll give you a straight answer.

// Common questions

Excavation questions

Do you do both residential and commercial excavation?

Yes. From a backyard foundation to a commercial site dig, we've got the equipment and the operators for it. Tell us the job and we'll tell you straight whether it's a fit and what it'll take.

Can you handle drainage and water problems?

We do - drainage, culverts, regrading to move water, and pond work are common calls. If water's pooling where it shouldn't, we'll look at it and lay out a fix.

Do you call in the utility locates?

We coordinate on locates before we dig - it's part of doing the job safely. You or your contractor handle permits; we handle digging clean around what's marked.

Can you coordinate with my builder?

Absolutely. A lot of our excavation is one piece of a bigger build, so we're used to working to a plan and a schedule alongside a general contractor.
